A delicious take on spaghetti all’assassina with shrimp, featuring charred pasta cooked in a flavorful tomato broth, marinated shrimp, and a hint of spice from chili flakes.
Peel shrimp and save the shells for the broth.
Marinate the shrimp in the listed ingredients.
Create the broth by mixing together tomato paste, bone broth (or just water), and water, seasoning with salt and pepper, and adding shrimp shells. Bring to a boil, boil for 5 minutes, and strain.
In a pan over medium-low heat, add olive oil, red chili flakes, Calabrian chilis, and garlic. Cook for one minute, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Add in the tomato purée and pasta. Cook until the bottom of the pasta begins to lightly char, adding tomato broth slowly until the pasta is al dente.
In another pan at medium heat, cook the shrimp with 1/4 stick of butter for one minute on each side.
Remove from heat and serve the pasta with the cooked shrimp.
