1: Microwave 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup rice vinegar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon red chili flakes, and 2 minced garlic cloves for 2 minutes until thickened. 2: In a pan, oil on medium heat and sauté the diced onion for 2 minutes until translucent. 3: Add the minced ginger and garlic; cook for 1 minute until fragrant. 4: Toss in chopped water chestnuts, hoisin sauce, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and vinegar; mix well. 5: Cook for 2-3 minutes, adjusting vinegar and sauces to taste. 6: Finish with sliced green onions and mix; allow the green onions to warm slightly. 7: Plate the mixture on 2-3 leaves of Boston lettuce per wrap and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
