These French onion meatballs are a must-make, featuring seared meatballs served in a rich onion sauce topped with melted mozzarella and garnished with thyme.

1: In a pan at medium high, sear meatballs until dark brown. 2: Once finished, remove and place on a paper towel lined plate. 3: To the pan, add half a stick of butter and let melt. 4: Add 3 sliced onions and let cook on low for 14-45 minutes until caramelized. 5: Once golden brown, add in onion soup mix, white wine, and water; let cook for 5 minutes. 6: Add in meatballs. 7: Place mozzarella cheese on top and let broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese is bubbly and browned. 8: Garnish with a thyme sprig and serve.
