1: Freeze the cabbage head overnight and then defrost it. 2: Run the cabbage under hot water until the leaves easily peel off. 3: In a bowl, mix together ground beef, ground pork, cooked rice, minced garlic, minced onion, egg, breadcrumbs, mustard, ketchup, and seasonings. 4: Place a handful of filling inside a cabbage leaf, roll halfway, tuck in the sides, and roll again. 5: Sauté onion, garlic, and tomato paste on medium-low for 4-5 minutes until sweet. 6: Add brown sugar and vinegar, cook until it forms a bubbling glaze. 7: Add crushed tomatoes to the sauce and simmer for 30 minutes. 8: In a baking dish, layer unstuffed cabbage leaves and pour sauce on top. 9: Place filled cabbage rolls on top, add more sauce, and cover with additional cabbage leaves. 10: Cover with foil and bake for up to 2 hours, checking at 60 and 90 minutes.
